Inspired by the Tangram puzzle, which originated in Imperial China during the Tang Dynasty (618 AD), the Tangram models are known in China as “Chin-Chiao Pan”, meaning “the engaging seven-piece puzzle.”
By combining the seven pieces, it is possible to create over 6,500 different shapes — a technique originally developed to teach mathematics, and still used in classrooms today.

The same inspiration led architect Roberto Molteni to design an acoustic object that improves sound quality in both public and private spaces.
